Story

This game involves the adventures of Baloo and Kit, two bears delivering cargo for Rebecca, another bear. However, Shere Khan, the evil tiger tycoon, wants to put Rebecca out of business, so he hires pirates, led by Don Karnage, to do his dirty work.

In the NES and Gameboy games, Baloo has to deliver his cargo across the world while fighting the pirates who are trying to stop him. Players control Baloo in his plane The Seaduck, except upon entry to a bonus level, where the player then controls Kit on his airfoil.

In the Sega game, Baloo and Kit face up against Shere Khan's company in a contest to earn a lifetime work contract from the city. This is a platformer for up to two players.

In the TurboGrafx game, Louie tells Baloo of an ancient artifact, the pieces of which are scattered across the road. This is also a platformer, albeit for one player. There is also a bonus level where players control the plane pulling Kit behind him.

Gameplay

NES version

The player flies around in an airplane as Baloo, shooting at and dodging oncoming enemies. The game is a two-dimensional scroller. Players can fly forward, vertically, or backwards upside down.

Sega Version

The Sega version of the game is a platform game for up to two players, playing as either Baloo or Kit. The aim of each level is to collect at least 10 cargo boxes in order to open the exit.

TurboGrafx-16 version

The TurboGrafx version is also a platform game, in which players play as Baloo.

Gameboy Version

The Gameboy version of this game is a side-scroller, similar to the NES version, in which players play as Baloo, and can occasionally play bonus levels as Kit. This version has six levels, which all have a boss at the end.

Game Gear Version

The Gamegear version is a simple platform game, in which players can again control Baloo.
